In this photo the stick is a rocket launcher, but then it became an integral part of a den, and later it was turned into mallets and tent pegs, and finally fuel for our fire. MUDWithout rain there would be no mud!! we love mud at Sunshine Forest School. When it rains we build shelters to keep the fire dry, but we embrace the rain and encourage children to play in it. Rain makes mud, so appropriate clothing is essential to enable children to enjoy the different weathers without getting cold or wet. 'There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing' |
Bushcraft skillsWhat is an outdoor adventure without some delicious food and a hot drink and marshmallows? As well as making things from natural materials we find in the woods, climbing trees, building dens, playing games, letting our imagination run wild, learning basic bushcraft skills and having a great time...we also learn about fire, fire safety, and how to cook on a campfire. |

Pre school and nursery workMorning, Afternoon or day sessions.
We currently work with several Pre schools in Belper at our own woodland, and we also go on site to several Primary schools around the county. Offering forest school sessions for all pre-school and school aged children.
